Hosting and logs

This website is run on behalf of the practice by Synthetic Dynamics on Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time, the address requested and details of your browser, in order to deliver the page and protect it from attacks.

The legal basis is the practice’s legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Synthetic Dynamics runs the website as a processor for the practice (Art. 28 GDPR), and Cloudflare acts as a further processor under its Data Processing Addendum. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR) and, as a fallback, on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Neither the practice nor Synthetic Dynamics stores access logs of this website.

Images, films and fonts

Images and films are delivered from our own address (assets.syntheticdynamics.de), also via Cloudflare. The fonts are hosted on this website itself; no fonts are loaded from Google or other providers.

Cookies and statistics

This website sets no cookies, not even through Cloudflare, and uses no visitor statistics, tracking or advertising services.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we process your details (topic, name, email address, your message and, if you give them, phone number and subject) to answer your enquiry. The message is forwarded to the practice as an email via Cloudflare’s email service; it is not stored on the website itself. To guard against automated messages, the time at which you opened the page is sent along.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry prepares a treatment, otherwise the practice’s legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Please do not send health information through the form.

Email and phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to deal with your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

Applications

We accept applications by email or through the contact form (subject “Application”) and process them to decide on employment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Google reviews

On the home page we show reviews from the practice’s Google listing. They are retrieved from Google by our server; your browser does not connect to Google, and the reviewers’ profile pictures also load through our server. Google therefore receives no data about your visit. You only leave this website when you click a link to Google Maps.

Links to other providers

Online booking runs through Dampsoft’s appointment book, directions through Google Maps. Further links lead to the Berlin Dental Association, the KZV Berlin and the texts of laws. All of these only open when you click the link; the provider’s own privacy notice applies there. The map on the start and contact pages is drawn on this website (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors) and loads nothing from third parties.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Berlin this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
