Children's dentistry – visiting the dentist with confidence and joy

For children, a visit to the dentist is a special experience. That is why your child's well-being is our focus from the very beginning. We want to create a trusting, child-friendly atmosphere in which our young patients feel safe and well looked after.

Our aim is to encourage a positive attitude towards dental health and visiting the dentist from an early age. With plenty of patience, empathy and age-appropriate methods, we introduce your child to dental treatment step by step. Your child may set their own pace and get to know the different steps of treatment calmly.

Dental visits without fear

Sensitive care can help to prevent fears from developing in the first place. We explain treatment steps in a child-friendly way and take enough time for questions and uncertainties. Playful elements and a friendly approach make the visit to the dentist a positive experience.

Our experienced team knows that every child is different. That is why we adapt our communication and treatment to your child's age, personality and needs.

Dental health from the start

For us, children's dentistry means more than treating teeth. We want to support children and parents in developing good habits for long-term oral health right from the start.

Regular check-ups and age-appropriate preventive care for children help to detect dental disease early and, where possible, to avoid it. At the same time, children learn through play how important daily oral care is.

Our wish is that your child leaves our practice with a good feeling and a smile – and is happy to come back.

Frequently asked questions

All frequently asked questions
  • At what age should my child first see the dentist?

The first visit to the dentist should take place as early as possible – ideally once the first milk tooth has come through, and within the first year of life at the latest. This lets us follow your child’s dental development from an early stage, spot possible risks and advise you on good tooth care and a tooth-friendly diet. At the same time, your child gets used to the dental practice in a playful way.

  • How does fear of the dentist develop in children?

Fear of the dentist can have various causes. These include, for example, unpleasant experiences, fear of unfamiliar situations or fears passed on within the family. Sensitive care, child-friendly explanations of each step of treatment and positive experiences can help to build trust and reduce fear. Our aim is to make visiting the dentist as pleasant as possible for your child.

  • How does diet affect my child’s dental health?

A balanced, tooth-friendly diet is crucial for healthy teeth to develop. Frequent sugar intake encourages tooth decay, especially when sugary foods or drinks are consumed throughout the day. Cutting down on sweets and sugary drinks and choosing water as the preferred drink can help to lower the risk of decay. A completely sugar-free diet is not necessary for this.

  • Can my child get tooth decay despite brushing regularly?

Yes, tooth decay can develop even with regular brushing. Besides oral hygiene, what matters includes brushing technique, the use of fluoride toothpaste, eating habits and individual susceptibility to decay. Even the very first milk tooth can be affected. That is why age-appropriate tooth care, help from parents and regular dental check-ups are particularly important.
